What mods..?

 

Since we talked about choosing a theme for your modpack..
I'ts time to discuss about the next important part of the modpack-making, mods!
Mods can be vastly found throughout the web but (for me) the best and safer page is curseforge.
Search mods in curseforge, consider each and evey mod but choose only the ones that will fulfill a specific purpose in your modpack and mods that are useful to you.

There are many mods out there such as:
Recipe helping mods: (JEI)
FPS Stabilization: (Optifine, Better fps, foamfix).
Map/Teleportation: (Journeymap, Antique atlas, map writer, waystones, bonfires)
Visual/Sound Enchancement: (Dynamic trees, dynamic surroundings, shaders)
Combat Addons: (Spartan Weaponry, Spartan Shields, Tinker's Construct)
Tech: (Thermal Expansion, Industrial Foregoing)
Magic: (Bewitchment, Thaumcraft)

I have written some of the very mainstream mods.
The list could go on and on. Mods are a very essential part of any modpack, thus they should be chosen carefully and balanced.

  With the newest update many new weapons have been added to the mod. Whilst it started out as a simple addon mod, it has become something much more! We have a introduction to 3 new materials: Base, crimson and otherwhere! Each material can be used to craft components and weapons! Starting off with the energon weapons: The Energon Double Bladed Tonfas is a melee weapon that deals 60 attack damage has a durability of 2,561 and can be repaired using: -energon crystal or energon powder. All bladed tonfas give mining fatigue and slowness for 30 seconds. The Energon Shield has a durability of 2,561 and can be repaired using energon crystal or energon powder.  Also when in hand it gives instant health, when right clicked it grants the user speed, strength and haste for 20 seconds but removes 1 durability.                                                                                                                                                                       The Base Double Bladed

Modpack and NPC WAR

 The modpack I am making is a modpack based on something I was always in search of. Quests, adventure, magic and tech! It mainly uses custom npcs mod as it's main core, for other npcs and such. Furthermore many of the textures (used in custom npcs mod) that you will see are not mine. They were made by NPC WAR.
